NARUTO CARD GAME now has a category on TCGplayer — sellers could start listing on September 22, 2026, and buyers could start purchasing on September 28, 2026 — but the only thing anyone can actually sell is promo cards, because no sealed product exists and won’t until the Summer 2027 worldwide launch. Two promos are in circulation, both labeled CP-001 Chakra Card, and they’re trading in wildly different ranges: the Gen Con version has held around four figures, while the Yankees version has fallen hard from its presale hype.

Prices below are observed asking and sold prices as of late September 2026 on the open secondary market, gathered from eBay, StockX, and secondary-market reporting. They are a snapshot of a market with no floor price, no print-run data, and roughly nine months of runway before the actual game arrives. This is not financial advice — card values move fast, and an unreleased game’s promo market moves faster than most.

What actually changed on September 22 and 28

TCGplayer’s seller blog put it plainly: “Starting today, September 22, 2026, TCGplayer sellers will be able to list NARUTO CARD GAME.” Customer purchasing opened six days later, on September 28.

What this is:

  • A category listing, the same infrastructure TCGplayer already runs for Bandai’s Digimon Card Game and Gundam Card Game.
  • Permission for the event promos already distributed — Gen Con 2026 and Yankee Stadium — to be listed and sold on the platform.
  • TCGplayer noting the game’s card lineup draws from NARUTO, NARUTO: SHIPPUDEN, and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS.

What this is not: a preorder window, a product announcement, or a release date change. No booster boxes, no starter decks, no set codes. Bandai’s next information beat is still December 2026, with in-store tutorials in January 2027. If a listing claims to be a sealed NARUTO CARD GAME booster box shipping this year, it is not what it says it is.

The real significance is quieter: having a mainstream marketplace category means promo prices now get recorded somewhere with sales history, instead of living entirely in eBay sold listings and Discord screenshots. That’s the first piece of actual market infrastructure this game has.

The only two cards that exist

Both are identified as CP-001 Chakra Card. They are, per secondary-market reporting, essentially the same card art with a logo difference.

CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.-
Distributed at Gen Con 2026 (July 30 – August 2, Indianapolis) to attendees who completed a free tutorial session, registered for the “NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL” on BANDAI TCG+, and filled out the post-session survey. The gift set also included a backpack, a logo sticker, and a purchase voucher for the Official Playmat. The card features Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha together. Distribution was limited to tutorial participants — Bandai never published a number.

CP-001 Chakra Card -New York Yankees Ver.-
Distributed at NARUTO x YANKEES GAME NIGHT at Yankee Stadium on September 8, 2026. Official guidelines stated the first 40,000 guests; reported attendance for the game was 46,211, so some attendees went home without one. Design is the Gen Con card with the Yankees logo added. Notably, the card’s image and effect text still hadn’t been formally published by Bandai as of mid-September 2026 — the card entered the market before its own datasheet did.

Why the two prices are so far apart

Gen Con 2026 Ver. New York Yankees Ver.
Distribution Tutorial session participants only First 40,000 stadium guests
Date Jul 30 – Aug 2, 2026 Sep 8, 2026
Estimated supply Small, undisclosed ~40,000
Presale hype price — $600–$850 (pre-reveal)
Observed range, late Sep 2026 ~$1,000–$1,200 (eBay, with confirmed solds) ~$215–$263 (eBay asks); $400 lowest ask on StockX
Notable sale $1,800 for card + playmat voucher + backpack —

The gap is supply, and it played out exactly as secondary-market coverage predicted in early August: the Yankees drop of roughly 40,000 copies into a market that had been pricing off a few thousand Gen Con cards was always going to compress the newer version. Presale listings before the reveal asked $600–$850. Post-distribution, eBay asks settled far below that.

Note the StockX–eBay spread in that table. A $400 lowest ask on StockX against $215–$263 asks on eBay is not two valuations of the same card — it’s one platform’s ask floor versus another’s competitive listing pool. Ask prices are what sellers hope for. Sold prices are the market. When you see a headline number for this card, check which one you’re looking at.

What could move these numbers before Summer 2027

Several things, mostly downward on the supply side:

  • More CP-001s are coming. New York Comic Con (Oct 8–11) hands a CP-001 Chakra Card to every tutorial participant, and PAX Australia, Paris Games Week, Spiel Essen, and Lucca Comics & Games follow through late October and early November. Whether those are new versions or reprints hasn’t been confirmed, but either way it’s more cardboard entering the market.
  • December 2026 information. A real product reveal tends to pull collector attention from promos toward sealed product.
  • Launch itself. Summer 2027 is when the game gets an actual player base — and when a promo’s worth stops being pure speculation and starts depending on whether people care about the game.
  • A release slip. Bandai has a clean recent record of hitting announced launch windows, but “Summer 2027” is a season, not a date. We looked at what Bandai’s last three TCG launches actually suggest about the pacing.

None of that is a prediction of direction. It’s a list of reasons the current numbers are fragile.

The risks specific to this market

Three that matter more here than in an established TCG:

Authentication is thin. There’s no published print run, no official card database entry for the Yankees version’s effect text, and — as we covered in our breakdown of grading Naruto cards — grading company category support for a game this new is still catching up. Buy raw promos from sellers with real feedback history.

The sold-vs-ask gap is unusually wide. In a market this thin, a handful of aspirational listings can make a card look like it’s worth double what anyone has paid.

Nobody knows if this game will land. NARUTO CARD GAME has a strong IP and Bandai’s distribution machine behind it. It also has zero players, because it doesn’t exist yet. A promo for a game that finds an audience and a promo for one that doesn’t are worth very different amounts, and that question doesn’t get answered until well after Summer 2027.

To be clear about our own position: we didn’t buy either promo, and nothing here is a recommendation to. Card values fluctuate, and this isn’t financial advice.

If you’d rather spend the money on something that holds its shape

A reasonable reaction to “$1,000 for a resource card from an unreleased game” is to spend it on something else. Two Naruto pieces that are actually in stock, plus one thing that’ll make you better at the game when it arrives.

S.H.Figuarts NARUTO Shippuden Uzumaki Naruto — Jinchūriki of Nine Tails Entrusted With Hope — 7,951 JPY, approximately 145mm, PVC & ABS pre-painted and articulated. Roughly a thirtieth the price of a Gen Con promo, and it’s a finished product rather than a bet.

The caveat: S.H.Figuarts joints on older releases in this line can loosen with repeated posing. It’s a display figure that tolerates handling, not a toy that rewards it.

Figuarts ZERO (Super Fierce Battle) NARUTO Shippuden Uchiha Itachi — Light and Darkness of the Mangekyō Sharingan — 22,568 JPY. A fixed-pose statue with effect parts, and the most visually dramatic Itachi in the range.

Figuarts ZERO Naruto Shippuden Uchiha Itachi – Light And Darkness Of The Mangekyo Sharingan

The caveat: this is genuinely expensive for a non-articulated statue, and the Super Fierce Battle series’ large effect parts need real shelf depth. Measure before you order.

BANDAI Gundam Card Game Starter Deck Zeon’s Rush (ST03) — 2,593 JPY. Bandai’s newest Leader-based TCG, playable out of the box. NARUTO CARD GAME uses the same skeleton — Leader card, color-restricted characters, win by reducing the opposing Leader’s Life to zero — so this is the cheapest way to arrive at a January 2027 tutorial session already knowing what you’re doing.

The caveat: Japanese-language printing. You’ll want an English card database open while you learn, and it’s a poor gift for someone who won’t tolerate that friction.

FAQ

Can I buy NARUTO CARD GAME booster boxes on TCGplayer?

No. The category opened for sales on September 28, 2026, but no sealed product exists — the game launches worldwide in Summer 2027. The only genuine listings are the CP-001 Chakra Card event promos from Gen Con 2026 and Yankee Stadium. Treat any “sealed booster box” listing as a red flag.

Why is the Gen Con Chakra Card worth so much more than the Yankees one?

Supply. The Gen Con version went only to people who completed a tutorial session over a four-day convention, while the Yankees version was distributed to the first 40,000 guests at a single September 8 ballgame. The cards are near-identical in design, so the price gap is almost entirely a print-quantity story.

Is the CP-001 Chakra Card actually playable?

It’s a Chakra Card, which in NARUTO CARD GAME is the resource type you spend to activate Ninjutsu and other Support effects. Whether these specific promo versions will be tournament-legal at launch hasn’t been announced, and Bandai hadn’t published the Yankees version’s effect text as of mid-September 2026.

Should I buy a Naruto promo card as an investment?

We don’t give investment advice, and this is a particularly speculative corner: no print run data, thin sales history, more promos being distributed through the autumn convention tour, and a game with no player base until 2027. Card values fluctuate. Buy one because you want it, and size the purchase accordingly.

Where can I check current prices?

TCGplayer now carries the category, which gives you sales history in one place rather than scattered across eBay solds. Cross-check eBay sold listings — not active asks — and remember that StockX lowest-ask figures exclude fees, which ran roughly $24 on a $400 ask in the example above.

Takeaway

The TCGplayer opening is real infrastructure news dressed up as a price event. It doesn’t mean product is coming sooner; it means the two promo cards that exist now have a mainstream venue and a visible sales record.

If you’re collecting, the Yankees version at $215–$263 is a far less exposed entry than the Gen Con card at four figures — and the honest answer on both is that a resource card from a game nobody has played yet is priced on story, not on demand. We’ll update this piece after NYCC, when the next batch of CP-001s hits the market.
