NARUTO CARD GAME returns to the show floor at New York Comic Con 2026, running October 8–11 at the Javits Center, booth #2705, with free tutorial sessions, a CP-001 Chakra Card promo for people who finish one, and a $35 Official Playmat sold by daily retail ticket. The franchise also has a panel — “NARUTO: What’s Next?” — on Saturday, October 10 at 5:00 PM ET on the North Level 5 Empire Stage, with Junko Takeuchi (Naruto) and Noriaki Sugiyama (Sasuke) attending, billed to include card game updates.
Everything below is taken from the official NARUTO CARD GAME event page for NYCC and Bandai’s July 29, 2026 press release, and is accurate as of September 29, 2026. Convention logistics get revised right up to the doors opening, so treat ticket-distribution details as “what Bandai has published,” not a guarantee.

What’s actually at booth #2705
The card game booth sits at #2705 in the Javits Center (429 11th Avenue). You need a New York Comic Con admission ticket to reach it — there’s no separate card game badge.
Three things happen there:
- Free tutorial sessions. A staffed, guided run-through of the game using demo decks.
- Participant gifts for people who complete a session and meet the conditions below.
- Official Playmat sales at $35 plus tax, with the product itself arriving in 2027.
One detail catches people out: the tutorial session tickets are not distributed at booth #2705. Per the official page, tickets go out on a first-come, first-served basis at opening from the BANDAI Namco booth #3001. If you walk straight to the card game booth on Thursday morning, you’re in the wrong line.
How to actually get into a tutorial session
The rules Bandai has published for NYCC:
- Get a tutorial ticket at booth #3001 when the hall opens. First-come, first-served.
- One session per person. Attending more doesn’t get you more.
- Demo decks stay at the booth — they aren’t take-home product.
- Sessions are free beyond your convention admission.
Gen Con ran the same structure in July and the tutorial slots there filled fast, so plan for a morning arrival rather than a mid-afternoon stroll. Bandai hasn’t published a session count or a per-day cap for NYCC.
The CP-001 Chakra Card promo — and the condition people miss
Tutorial participants receive a CP-001 Chakra Card and a logo sticker. There are two requirements attached, and the first one is the one that catches people:
- You must be registered to the “NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL” on BANDAI TCG+ — the app, not a mailing list.
- You must complete the post-session survey.
Limit is one gift per person regardless of how many sessions you attend. Do the app registration before you fly out; a convention hall Wi-Fi signal is a bad place to discover you need to create a BANDAI NAMCO ID from scratch.
Worth being precise about the card itself: Bandai’s NYCC page names the gift as “CP-001 Chakra Card” without publishing a version suffix. The two CP-001 Chakra Cards already in circulation are the Gen Con 2026 Ver. (tutorial participants, July 30 – August 2) and the New York Yankees Ver. (Yankee Stadium, September 8, 2026). Whether NYCC’s is a third distinct version or a reprint of an existing one has not been confirmed at the time of writing — anyone telling you definitively which it is right now is guessing.
The Official Playmat is the first thing you can buy
This is the only NARUTO CARD GAME product with a price attached anywhere, and it’s a strange one: you pay at the booth in October 2026, and the playmat arrives in 2027.
The mechanics per Bandai’s page:
- $35 + tax, limited quantities.
- A retail ticket is required, distributed first-come, first-served each morning at booth #2705.
- One per person per day — so a four-day badge is theoretically four playmats.
At Gen Con, the playmat came as a purchase voucher inside the tutorial gift set. At NYCC it’s a separate morning ticket line at the card game booth, decoupled from the tutorial. If you want the mat and the promo card, that’s two lines at two different booths.
“NARUTO: What’s Next?” — the panel is the real news slot
Saturday, October 10, 5:00–6:00 PM ET, North Level 5: Empire Stage. Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama are the announced guests, and the panel description covers the anime, NARUTO CARD GAME, and “other exciting new projects.”
Here’s the honest framing: Bandai’s July 29 press release says more card game details come in December 2026, with in-store tutorial sessions starting January 2027 and the worldwide launch in Summer 2027. A franchise panel in October sitting two months ahead of the stated information beat is more likely to tease than to drop a product list with SKUs and MSRPs. It could surprise us. Plan for a teaser and be pleasantly wrong.
Reservation is required for the panel; at the time of writing Bandai hadn’t published the booking method or the date bookings open.
The rest of the 2026 tour
NYCC isn’t the only stop. Bandai’s press release lists the full pre-launch circuit:
| Event | Dates | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Gen Con 2026 (world debut) | Jul 30 – Aug 2 | Indianapolis, USA |
| New York Comic Con | Oct 8–11 | New York, USA |
| PAX Australia | Oct 9–11 | Melbourne, Australia |
| Paris Games Week | Oct 22–25 | Paris, France |
| Spiel Essen | Oct 22–25 | Essen, Germany |
| Lucca Comics & Games | Oct 28 – Nov 1 | Lucca, Italy |
| BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest. 26-27 | Seasonal | Multiple |
Bandai has not published booth numbers, promo details, or playmat availability for the non-US stops, so don’t assume NYCC’s exact structure transfers to Paris or Lucca. For a running list of where official information actually lands first, see our guide to official Naruto TCG news sources.
If you’re not going: what’s genuinely worth doing instead
There is no NARUTO CARD GAME product to buy. Anyone selling you “Naruto Card Game booster boxes” in 2026 is selling you something else — most likely unofficial Naruto Kayou cards, which are a separate collector niche and not Bandai product.
What actually helps is learning the engine. NARUTO CARD GAME is a Leader-based Bandai design — you build around a Leader card, play Characters in your Leader’s color, and win by reducing the opposing Leader’s Life to zero — and Bandai’s other Leader-based games teach that loop for the price of one dinner.
BANDAI Gundam Card Game Start Deck SEED Strike (ST04) — 2,593 JPY, Bandai’s most recent Leader-based TCG and the closest structural cousin to what’s been shown of Naruto. A ready-to-play deck, no deckbuilding required.
BANDAI Gundam Card Game Start Deck SEED Strike (ST04)

The caveat: it’s the Japanese-language printing. Card text is in Japanese, so you’ll be cross-referencing an English database on your phone at first. Fine for learning the turn structure, annoying for teaching a friend.
If you’d rather put the money into something Naruto-shaped that won’t reprice on you, two that are actually in stock:
ENTRY GRADE NARUTO — Uzumaki Naruto Color Coded Plastic Model — 3,048 JPY. A snap-fit, no-glue, no-paint model kit. It’s the cheapest genuinely good Naruto display piece on the market.
ENTRY GRADE NARUTO – Uzumaki Naruto Color Coded Plastic Model

The caveat: Entry Grade kits are deliberately simplified. Articulation is limited compared to a figure at three times the price, and the color separation, while good for the format, is not a painted finish.
TAMASHII NATIONS S.H.Figuarts NARUTO Shippuden Ichiraku Ramen Set — 10,220 JPY, roughly 220mm. A diorama accessory set rather than a figure, and the kind of thing that looks better next to a playmat than another Naruto pose does.
TAMASHII NATIONS SHFiguarts NARUTO Shippuden Ichiraku Ramen Set

The caveat: it’s an accessory set — no figure is included. You need S.H.Figuarts figures you already own for it to do anything.
FAQ
Do I need a separate ticket for the Naruto Card Game booth at NYCC?
No. Booth #2705 is on the show floor and only requires New York Comic Con admission. The free tutorial sessions do require a separate session ticket, distributed first-come, first-served at opening from the BANDAI Namco booth #3001 — not at the card game booth.
How do I get the CP-001 Chakra Card promo at NYCC 2026?
Complete a free tutorial session at booth #2705, be registered to the “NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL” on the BANDAI TCG+ app, and fill out the post-session survey. You receive the CP-001 Chakra Card and a logo sticker, limited to one gift per person no matter how many sessions you attend.
Can I buy NARUTO CARD GAME cards at New York Comic Con?
No. No playable product exists yet — the worldwide release is Summer 2027. The only purchasable item at NYCC is the Official Playmat at $35 plus tax, bought via a daily retail ticket at booth #2705, and it ships in 2027.
Will the October 10 panel announce the release date and products?
Unknown. Bandai’s July 29, 2026 press release said the next round of card game details arrives in December 2026, so a full product reveal at NYCC would be ahead of their own stated schedule. The panel is billed to include card game updates alongside anime news, but treat specific leaked “reveals” circulating beforehand as rumor.
Is the NYCC promo the same card as the Gen Con and Yankees promos?
Not confirmed. All three are identified as “CP-001 Chakra Card,” and the two already distributed carry version suffixes — “Gen Con 2026 Ver.” and “New York Yankees Ver.” Bandai’s NYCC page names the gift without a suffix, so whether it’s a third version or a repeat is not publicly settled as of September 29, 2026.
Takeaway
NYCC 2026 is the biggest NARUTO CARD GAME touchpoint since the Gen Con debut, and it’s a well-structured one if you know the two-booth quirk: session tickets at #3001, playmat tickets and gameplay at #2705. Register for the BANDAI TCG+ channel before you go or you’ll complete a tutorial and walk away without the promo.
For the substance — sets, prices, preorders — December 2026 is still the date Bandai has committed to. Anything before that, panel included, is a preview.
